Use simple unambiguous words in your surveys

Posted on 5/4/2009 by Jim in category: survey software tips
Use simple unambiguous words to phrase survey questions. Be concise, clear, and direct. Try to avoid words with double meaning or questions that can be interpreted in more than one way. Do not make the question span more than one line.

Example:

Poor: How do you feel about adding a forum section on our website to improve our support?

Better: Should we add a forum section to our website?

Remember that you will always get no more than what you ask for... Happy Surveying!
