Use branching logic to shorten the survey

Posted on 12/1/2009 by Jim in category: survey software tips
Use survey software branching logic as much as possible to skip irrelevant questions and shorten the survey experienced by respondents. Do not rely on the respondent to decide if the question does apply to them.

For example, if the respondent indicates that they have never used a cell phone, use survey branching logic to skip over the questions that ask about their cell phone usage.

Remember that you will always get no more than what you ask for... Happy Surveying!
