Tying your question to an action rather than an opinion will improve the accuracy of the
survey research results.
Example:
Poor: Do you find our website useful?
Better: How often did you visit our website in the last month?
When providing options in a multiple choice question, try to be exhaustive while keeping the answers concise and mutually exclusive. Also, try to keep the list of choices short with no more than 3 to 5 choices. Long lists are difficult to evaluate.
Example:
Poor: What is your current marital status?
Better: What is your current marital status?
